| McDonald's Has 'Shrek' 3 Tie-in | 21/11/06, 11:00pm EST
| In May 2007, the fast-food restaurant McDonald's will be doing a 'Shrek the Third' promotion corresponding to the film's theatrical release.
The promotion will follow suit with the restaurant's attempt to market healthier food for children. McDonald's, along with other fast-food places, has been under scrutiny by the Federal Trade Comission for the matter. However, McDonald's CMO Bill Lamar said his marketing to kids "would continue to focus on nuggets, Apple Dippers and milk, which meet almost any science-based guidelines" for healthy food.
McDonald's and DreamWorks recently inked a deal, so expect more tie-ins with movies in the future.
